Natural hand crafted folk soap products. Extraordinary soap for extraordinary folk, skin loving, natural, artisan, therapeutic soap, packed full of beneficial ingredients. There is no comparison to hand made soaps to well known brands off the supermarket shelves. I could not ever go back to using mass market brands, the difference is just chalk and cheese between natural soaps and soaps filled with animal fats and soaping agents that are sometimes used as industrial cleaner. You instantly feel the benefits of the oils and plant based ingredients in a good quality hand made soap. You do not get the tightening sometimes felt from other soaps and within a few days your skin feels amazing, spots clear up and skin conditions calm. I could go on but I’ll stop there, if you haven’t already you will have to try one for yourself.
If not from here then go along to your local farmers market where you can usually pick up a good quality bar quite reasonably, try and avoid bright colours and clear soaps, which are usually melt and pour soaps that are just reheated and set in a mould to look handmade, they can sometimes contain soaping agents a known skin irritant.Look for a more natural colour soap that’s earthy such as soaps with cocoa or turmeric or the greens of avocado and green clay, or small particles of ground seeds and oats etc. Generally good quality natural soaps are not made to look pretty, they are made to be kind, gentle and to leave you feeling healthy in your skin. Don’t be put off by colour or exfoliating oats or ground seeds, I make a banana and almond soap that is not the prettiest bar to look at but the way it makes you feel and smell is second to none.
This picture is dog shampoo, it’s the only one I have in a mould at the moment and it’s not that much different to our human soap, in fact its great as a hair shampoo bar because it contains flax, avocado and apple cider vinegar!! squeaky clean with a lovely shine and good for keeping nit outbreaks in school children at bay.
